Small Boat Fleet
Our vessels, available for research and education purposes, are well-suited for working in the shallow bays and coastal areas of the northeastern Gulf of Mexico. Our boats are equipped with USCG approved and required safety devices, VHF radios, GPS, and depth-sounding devices. Click here for rates. Reserve a boat or kayak by using our on-line reservation form. Check for availability, using our Small Boats Calendar.
Note: All scheduled reservations for small boats require completion of a FLOAT PLAN. There are two different plans:(1) FLOAT PLAN - Onsite - in which FSUCML boats launched at the marine lab are operated onsite in waters inland of Dog Island and (2) FLOAT PLAN - Offshore Offsite, in which FSUCML are trailered offsite, operated offshore, or both. If you have questions, please contact FSUCML at 850 697 4120. The float plan can be filled out online, downloaded to your device, and then printed out for signatures.
