Research and Professional Interests
I am very interested in improving estimates of basic life history characteristics (e.g. age and growth) and management strategies. My research meld advanced fisheries statistics, fisheries management, natural history, and ecology to build better models that are more realistic which reflects the biology of the organisms that we are interested in as well as to improve the way that fisheries sciences are conducted. In addition, I'm also very interested in the development and application of methods for data-limited fisheries (including the development of Shiny-based apps).
