ABSI Literature Database

Though ABSI conducts various research projects on our own, the ideas, methods, and reasonings behind our research is built largely on the findings and conclusions formed those prior. In this database we have provided a public-access server with some of the literature on which we base our research, which cover several topics, including oyster genetics, ecosystem services provided by oysters, oyster reef restoration, oyster culture, and much more. These findings vary from a few years to a few decades old, but it is important to see how our understanding of oysters and Apalachicola Bay has changed over time. It is also important to note that the research in these papers was not necessarily completed in Apalachicola Bay, but we can use findings from other bay/estuary systems to try to apply hypotheses and experiments locally. There is always more to be learned, so let this database fuel your curiosity as you develop questions.  Here is a Quick Start Guide on how to use Zotero.
