Data Analyst – Job ID# 48702

The FSU Coastal & Marine Lab (FSUCML), located 1 hour south of Tallahassee, seeks a full-time Data Analyst to assist the new Director of the lab with technical and research duties. This position provides technical, research and administrative support to the director for scientific activities, CML outreach, grant development and submission, and technical presentations, with a primary focus on research data analytics. The position will also have minimal administrative duties, including assisting with the FSUCML Board of Trustees, Scientific Advisory board, faculty and staff meetings.  Meeting and event planning will also be required. 

The position requires the ability to perform high level mathematical and statistical analyses related to environmental science.  Knowledge and ability to utilize computer applications for office, data analysis, mapping and graphical representation of ecological data is required.   A master’s degree or PhD in environmental science, biology, marine science or a related filed is preferred. 

This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position with a work schedule of Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. unless otherwise specified.  FSU offers a robust Total Rewards package.
