Divemaster
The Divemaster workshop aims to certify members of the Academic Diving Program as PADI Divemasters, developing the skills needed to lead other divers and assist with scuba classes.
Course Description
PADI Divemaster is the most popular and most recognized professional scuba certification in the world. PADI Divemasters enjoy career opportunities, getting paid to scuba dive and share their love for the ocean. Participants learn how to lead other divers, assist with scuba classes and inspire others to care about the ocean.
This is a non credit workshop course intended to develop leadership with the Academic Diving Program. The successful participant will conclude the workshop with a PADI Divemaster certification.
Lab Fee - $996. This covers the costs of all equipment, texts, and certification fees.
Acceptance
Acceptance into the workshop program is determined by the Diving Safety Officer. Prerequisites include PADI Rescue Diver certification (or qualifying certification); completion of Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care training (or qualifying training) within 24 months, and a minimum of 40 dives logged.
