Emergency First Response & Oxygen Provider
This workshop builds rescuer confidence to provide care when faced with a medical emergency. Participants learn and practice the same patient care techniques and principles used by medical professionals, but at a lay person level.
The Emergency First Response workshop focuses on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), first aid, automatic external defibrillator (AED) training and emergency oxygen administration. The course results in Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care certification, and is specifically designed to meet national and international compliance standards for CPR and first aid courses in the workplace. This or a similar certification must be completed every two years to maintain status as an active Scientific Diver at FSU.
