Leaving behind the grey skies and rain of Scotland for, well, so far, the grey skies and rain of Florida, Dr. Tara Marshall and Dr. Lindsay McPherson of the University of Aberdeen just arrived with twelve undergraduates in tow to learn about Florida ecosystems at the FSU Coastal & Marine Laboratory. In just a bit over a week (March 28 - April 1), they'll hit a number of warm-temperate environments throughout Franklin and Wakulla counties, visiting dunes, seagrass beds, oyster reefs, and freshwater wetlands, while gaining technical skills in sampling methods with the help of Dr. Bill Herrnkind. The course will continue yearly through 2015 at the marine lab. We're so pleased to have them here in their first of 5 annual visits.
