Pre-cursor to Successor Subcommittee
- The CAB intends to consider transitioning into a successor subcommittee (with stakeholder composition similar to the ABSI CAB) in collaboration with the state to oversee implementation of the Apalachicola Bay System Ecosystem-Based Adaptive Management & Restoration Plan. The successor group will define its scope of work including evaluating regulatory processes and engaging with and being accountable to decision-makers and the public for the actions laid out in the management plan and the implementation thereof. The successor group will also evaluate the best organizational structure for ensuring longevity including working under the auspices of a state agency, an estuary program, private/public partnerships, etc.
